Richard & Renae Oue

Richard and Renae Oue have served as IMB missionaries to Tokyo since 1999. They have 2 handsome sons; Caleb born in 2002 and Stephen born in 2004. They will be joined by a new sibling in September. Richard is the Strategy Coordinator for Greater Tokyo Southern Megacities. Renae serves as the IMB Tokyo Team’s Prayer Advocate.

Richard and Renae are avid Bulldog fans from the wonderful state of Georgia. Richard enjoys traveling (Did we mention he is an m.k. from Japan?), music, movies, reading, biking, and especially eating! Renae is a very talented photographer who also enjoys reading, traveling, running, hiking, and anything else she can do in the great outdoors.

The Oue’s food palate is a varied one. They enjoy Italian, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Mexican…and the list goes on. As for Japanese food? Sushi, noodles, and sukiyaki top their list as favorites . American food? They love it all but would have to say thast Chick-Fil-A and Sprayberry’s BBQ in Newnan, Ga. are the best.

Richard wins the prize for strangest food ever eaten. He said he has actually had calf-brain and eyeballs! Yuck!

The Oue’s greatest prayer concern at this time is for the educational needs of their children. Please pray that the Lord will show them how to best educate them as they get ready for kindergarten and beyond.
