September, 2008 Prayer Guide
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…” Colossians 4:2-3

- Many homeless people are being ministered to and reached in central Tokyo. Most of them want to work but the economy continues to slump, and many of them who are over the age of 50 usually face age discrimination (lessening physical strength and lack of skills). Pray that the Lord of the harvest can open creative ways that more of them can become laborers working in His kingdom and build up His church in Japan.
- Amanda Craft arrived in Tokyo this past week to begin the second half of her 6 month internship. Please pray for Amanda as she follows up on contacts made by volunteers and interns this past summer. Pray that God will give her many divine appointments and help her as she gets settled into life and ministry.
- God has brought us a new Japanese partner named Ma. Please pray that God will bless Ma’s vision of seeing a house church network in Japan. He has begun and English school with the purpose of using the income from this school to support him so that he can be free to plant new churches. Pray that God will bring him many students and meet his financial needs during this time of beginning a new work. Pray that God will bless this house church network in ways we could never have imagined!
- Richard and Renae Oue, career missionaries serving in Tokyo, are expecting the arrival of their fourth child any day now. Please pray for the Oue family and especially for Renae to have a safe and uneventful delivery. Pray for their other children and those caring for them to know God’s peace as Richard and Renae are at the hospital.
